O bag has always invested in research in order to constantly offer new products to its customers.

One of the brand ingredients that played a crucial role for the success and brand awareness of O bag is the use of an innovative, ultra-lightweight material with recognisable plastic features.

The raw materials used are accurately selected by the laboratories of Silter, in Venice, for silicon, and of Finproject Spa, with registered office in Morrovalle (MC), for the XL EXTRALIGHT® material (, exclusively MADE IN ITALY.

The O clock wristwatch straps and the O bracelets are made of food-safe silicon, an artificial material consisting of a silicon base (a natural element present in sand) and oxygen. It is a high-quality material, compliant with food regulations, completely non-toxic, odourless and tasteless, non-stick, elastic, and resistant to ageing and high temperatures.

The body of the O bag brand bags is made using XL EXTRALIGHT®, a closed cell foam material, ingeniously developed through research conducted by the Finproject S.p.A laboratories and through an exclusive production process.

This is a special plastic material with many different features: it is lightweight, flexible, colourful and versatile, with a special “soft touch” effect. It is also resistant to water, UV rays, chlorine and salt water and retains its colour over time. In addition, it is washable, does not allow bacteria to proliferate and respects the environment as it does not contain solvents harmful to health.

The O shoes flipflops are also produced with the XL EXTRALIGHT® material, which is lightweight, comfortable and colourful. The latest 2017 product is O fly, the summer frisbee, which is fun, colourful, lightweight, UV resistant and can even be used in water since it floats.
